Triple 3 Glenfiddich Virtual MasterClass Interview with Brand Ambassador Brett Bayly — Paneco Blog

Cardhu 12 years old

Cardhu 12 years old is one for the sweet-toothed among you. Why? Clean, crisp oak and sweet malt evoking flavours of honeyed flapjacks and home-made caramel squares. Lots of charm from this easy-going Speysider. Cardhu is very loved in Spain. Is it because it is sweet and goes perfectly with ice and the warm Spanish climate? Have a taste, let me know!

NOSE

At full strength, heady, nose prickle, pear drops and tightly integrated heather, resin and sweet honey-nut notes. Enticing. Intriguing. With a little water, still harmonious but less pronounced, allowing some malt-cereal, soft, spicy wood, moorland and faint traces of wood-smoke to appear.

PALATE

Palate Well balanced, smooth mouthfeel; short punch, sweet and fresh, then a pronounced drying effect. Enjoyable at any time, with little or no water. (However, keep in mind… the ice!)

FINISH

Quite short. Some lingering sweet smoke in the attractive, drying aftertaste.

Tullamore Dew Original

This original blended Irish whiskey is known wide for its smooth and gentle complexity. Triple distilled and patiently aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, it is definitely worth trying.

NOSE

Light, sweet citrus and green apple combined with vanilla undertones.

PALATE

Early fresh fruit leads to a definite light spike followed by some toasted wood which evolves into a delicious vanilla sweetness.

FINISH

Put the glass down as you sense the almost buttery mellowness. Purchase from Amazon: https://amzn.to/3g9mAlH
